Power outage

1. Check the apartment switches

The electrical panels are below the TV, at the top of the stairs leading down to the bathroom on the lower floor. The photo shows both panels. Check that every lever is up, on ON. If a lever is down or you are unsure, contact us before continuing.

2. Check whether others have power

Check lights in shared areas and other apartments. If others have no power, there may be a general outage: wait and notify us. Continue only if Cortile alone has no power, all apartment levers are up and others have power.

3. Switch appliances off

Before going downstairs, switch off the oven, hob, washing machine, air conditioning and other appliances in use. Too many appliances at once may cause an overload.

4. Go to the ground floor

The stairs entrance is on the ground floor, behind the lift. Find the black door in the photo. Use stairs if you are unsure the lift has power.

5. Go down to floor −1

Go through the black door and down the stairs to floor −1. Use your phone torch and watch the steps.

6. Follow the corridor

On floor −1, follow the passage shown in the photos towards the meter room.

7. Enter the meter room

Find the door marked “LOCALE CONTATORI” in the photo. If it is locked or you cannot find the way, contact us. Do not force doors.

8. Find the Cortile meter

Find both labels: “La Vecchia Milano IL CORTILE PT” and “Nubile”. It is the white meter in the photo. Check only the blue lever at the bottom of this meter. Do not touch the black switch in the box on the left or neighbouring meters.

9. Reset the power once

Only if this meter’s blue lever is on OFF, move it up to ON once. If it is already ON, leave it and contact us. Return to the apartment and restart appliances one at a time. If it trips again or power does not return, stop and contact us.

Adults only. Do not open panels, touch wires or other meters. If there is water, smoke, sparks or a burning smell, move away without touching the equipment; call 112 in an emergency.
